Not a Mob: Psycho

Upon emerging from the Garganta back in the Human World, Ohta's pupils shrank, his heart beating faster within his chest as he saw a large section of Karakura's sky veiled in intense flames, loud explosions echoing around him.
Snapping her fingers in front of Ohta's face, Yoruichi remarked, "Now isn't the time to space out, dog boy. Find a good vantage point to monitor the situation and help exfiltrate the injured."
Regaining his senses, Ohta surprised Yoruichi by drawing her toward him, sealing her lips for several seconds before releasing her to say, "Don't die, cat..."
Punctuating his statement, Ohta gave Yoruichi a light smack on her ass, prompting her to roll her eyes before looking to Soifon and saying, "Let's move out kitten."
"Yes, Captain!" replied Soifon, saluting Yoruichi and briefly shifting her dark-brown eyes to Ohta before disappearing alongside the former with Shunpo. In their wake, Ohta turned to Ichigo, Unohana, and Isane, the younger of the two staring at the devastation around them in shock while the much older Shinigami Captain wore a calm, unperturbed smile.
Directing his gaze to Ichigo, Ohta took charge of the situation by stating, "Assess the situation and look for opportunities to help those who need it. Just be careful not to overextend and leave yourself exposed."
Turning his attention to Unohana and Isane, Ohta asked, "I'm assuming you have a protocol for triage and treating the wounded?"
Nodding her head, Unohana replied, "We typically cordon off an area and evacuate the wounded for treatment. However, as these are extenuating circumstances, we shall take to the battlefield directly. You and Kurosaki-kun should prioritize observing Aizen and conserving your strength until the battle's climax. Until then, this is 'our' fight."
"This is a battle to determine the world's fate, not to protect the honor of the Gotei," countered Ohta. "If I believe it will make a difference, I'll do as I please."
Finished with what he had to say, Ohta turned his attention to a portion of the sky illuminated by familiar, bright blue Ceros, saying, "See you around, Captain Violence(Retsu)..." before disappearing with Shunpo.
Narrowing her distinctive blue eyes, Unohana mused, "What an amusing young man," before turning to Isane, saying, "Come along, Isane. All that separates life and death is but a single moment. Let's not keep our allies waiting."
Recovering from the stupor she had fallen into when Ohta referred to Unohana as 'Captain Violence,' Isane replied with a flustered, "Y-Yes, Captain...!"
Nodding her head, Unohana cast a fleeting glance at Ichigo, saying, "Good luck, Kurosaki-kun," before disappearing alongside Isane. Their departure caused Ichigo to feel as though the pressure of the situation had increased, but he managed to pull himself together quickly, breaking through the sound barrier as he flew toward the enormous wall of flames and Captain-Commander Yamamoto...

Finding Starrk in the middle of fending off Kyoraku and Ukitake, a frown marred Ohta's face. Starrk didn't appear to have any trouble fending off the dual-wielding Captains, but he was already in his Resurreccion while the latter duo had yet to activate their Bankai.
While he didn't have the best impression of Starrk, Ohta wasn't incapable of seeing past personal grudges. Starrk also needed to be alive for him to teach the lethargic gunslinger a lesson, so he only hesitated for a moment before flaring his Reiatsu, earning the attention of all three combatants.
Seeing Ohta wearing Barragan's Royal Mantle, the slightly annoyed look on Starrk's face morphed into a troubled frown as he said, "It's you..." in a begrudging, weary tone.
Contrasting the frown on Starrk's face, Ukitake adopted a pleasant smile and said, "It's good to see that you have arrived safely, Ohta-dono. I trust Rukia and the others are well...?"
Nodding in affirmation, Ohta replied, "Yeah. The operation was fairly easy, thanks to Aizen ordering his Espada to sit tight and wait for us to attack at our leisure. We managed to eliminate most of them, including the former God-King of Hueco Mundo, so I'd appreciate it if the two of you didn't kill this one."
While Ukitake and Starrk seemed surprised by Ohta's words, Kyoraku's expression didn't change as he asked, "You're worried about the balance between the three realms?"
Shrugging his shoulders, Ohta half-heartedly replied, "Someone has to be..." before meeting Starrk's gaze and adding, "Aizen didn't intervene when Barragan was slain nor when I confronted Harribel. Now, you are being tag-teamed by two Captains while he stands idly by. Do you think he gives two shits about you, the Espada, or keeping his promises? Are you prepared to die for him, forcing Harribel to rule over Las Noches and protect the remaining Arrancar alone...?"
"..."
Instead of responding to Ohta's words, Starrk looked around, casting his single eye over the battlefield. Except for Ulquiorra Cifer, the Cuaotro(4th) Espada, he was the only survivor among the Arrancar that had accompanied Aizen to the Human World. They had backup coming, but that wouldn't change the fact that they were severely outnumbered. The only person who could turn things around was Aizen, but he and Gin were pretending to be trapped in the flaming barrier produced by Yamamoto...
Returning his gaze to Ohta, focusing on the cloak he was wearing, Starrk stared at him for several seconds before exhaling a tired sigh and asking, "If I leave now, will you swear never to invade Las Noches again...?"
"That depends entirely on you," replied Ohta. "If your people hadn't come seeking trouble, I wouldn't have even known you existed. So long as you keep the Adjuchas in check and prevent strays from invading the Human World en masse, I don't give a damn what you do."
"Right..." muttered Starrk, shifting his gaze to Kyoraku and Ukitake to hear what they had to say.
"Yare yare(Good grief)..." sighed Kyoraku. Fortunately for Starrk and his partner, Lilynette, Kyoraku was confident he could kill the dual-wielding Esapda whenever he pleased. Thus, after a moment of consideration, he sheathed his scimitar-like blades and said, "Out of respect for Ohta-dono and the Shihouin Clan, I'll permit you to withdraw. However, should this battle end in our favor, you should expect an Ambassador from the Soul Society in the very near future..."
Helping Starrk make up his mind, Ohta added, "The alternative is fighting all three of us."
Shaking his head, Starrk holstered his pistols and raised his hands in surrender, stating, "I'd rather not..." with a wry smile. Fortunately, as she couldn't speak while holstered, Lilynette couldn't say anything to worsen their predicament.
"Then, before you go, I'm going to siphon some of your Reiryoku," said Ohta, adding, "We can't have you coming back to attack us the moment Aizen gets the upper hand."
Furrowing his brows, Starrk asked, "How do I know you won't just kill me the moment I'm drained?"
"Because, even without these two, I could kill you 'without' draining your power," contended Ohta. "With them providing backup and your so-called Lord fantasizing about getting his ass reamed by the Zero Division, you're fucked six ways from Sunday."
When Ohta casually referred to the Zero Division, Kyoraku's and Ukitake's eyes widened slightly. Information pertaining to the Zero Division, also known as the Royal Guard, was strictly confidential. Only Captains were supposed to have any knowledge of their existence, so while they could easily imagine where Ohta got the information from, they were still a little taken aback by how 'informed' he was.

Interrupting the conversation, the peculiar resonance of a spatial tremor emanated across the battlefield as a gigantic Garganta began to open in the sky. From its interior, an incredible Reiatsu leaked out, garnering the attention of virtually everyone on the battlefield as a skinny Arrancar with blonde hair and a large purple sword appeared alongside a strange white sphere and a colossal Hollow with a bulbous body, tufts of soot-black hair on its back, and a singular eye.
"Wonderweiss..." muttered Starrk, prompting Ohta to declare, "That's your way home. Now, get the fuck out of my sight before I change my mind..."
Though he furrowed his brows, Starrk only hesitated briefly before using Sonido to slip past Wonderweiss, the white sphere, and the giant Hollow. His departure earned a confused "Bawaaaaaaa...?" from the ditzy-looking Arrancar, but he quickly regained focus when a crimson beam of crescent energy nearly bifurcated him from crown to crotch.
Earning a frown from Ohta, the mysterious white sphere 'teleported' in front of Wonderweiss, releasing a loud, resonating hum as it intercepted, seemingly froze, and ultimately destroyed the energy crescent. Then, as the front of the sphere opened like a flower, a familiar, black, purple-hued energy began to gather at its center...
Feeling a powerful, attractive force, Ohta muttered, "This bitch stole my move..." as the flower-like sphere unleashed a gravity-infused Cero that produced an exceptionally loud hum as it tore through the foundation of the fake Karakura Town, drilling into the Earth and causing debris as large as cars to be drawn toward it.
While Ohta, Kyoraku, and Ukitake were forced to evade, Wonderweiss pointed toward the flaming barrier surrounding Aizen and Gin, issuing a loud "Fuwaaaa~!" that prompted the colossal Hollow behind him to swell as it inhaled deeply. Then, causing the entire battlefield to reek of death, it exhaled its breath, dissipating the ultimately pointless barrier in one fell swoop.
Though the flower-like sphere had drawn his aggro, Ohta spared a glance toward Aizen and Gin, confusion marring his face as he asked, "Who the fuck is that?" in regards to the former's somewhat drastic glow up. In his mind, Aizen was still a cartoonified Josh Groban imitator, not some suave, Chad-looking motherfucker with swept-back hair, sharp eyebrows, and a strong jawline...
Hearing Ohta's question, Ukitake replied, "That's former Captain Aizen..." with a serious expression and tone.
As if he could hear the two of them talking, Aizen directed his gaze to Ohta and Ukitake, adopting a sly smile as he mused, "I believe you have other concerns at the moment."
Punctuating Aizen's statement, the flower-like sphere unleashed another destructive beam of black, purple-hued energy. This time, however, Ohta didn't try to dodge. Instead, he met the attack with the bident-like tuning fork on the ass end of his Bankai. He was pushed down by the 'weight' of the beam but ultimately succeeded in absorbing it before charging toward Wonderweiss and the sphere with crimson eyes and bared teeth.
Sending a shiver up Ohta's spine, Gin's voice echoed in his ear despite the distance separating them, hissing, "Bankai...Kamishini-no-Yari(God-Killing Spear)..."
By the time Ohta's brain had finished processing Gin's words, his view of Wonderweiss and the flower-like sphere had vanished. Instead, he found himself in the clouds, pain radiating through his side as the beam of 'light' that had impacted him abruptly vanished.
Though he was barely conscious, feeling as though all the blood in his body had rushed to his left side, Ohta managed to use Shunpo reflexively, concealing himself in a nearby cloud before crumpling over and coughing up blood. His manifold barriers had protected him from whatever hit him, but the speed at which he was forcibly moved placed a burden nearing a million g-forces on his body. If not for his absurd durability and the cloak protecting him, he might have burst apart and vaporized...
"That...mother...fucker..." panted Ohta, reaching up to his left eye to find it was still present by protruding from the socket. He couldn't see out of it, but he was relieved to know it was still there, allowing him to push it into place as he healed himself using Kaido.
Feeling progressively more 'focused' as his pain grew, Ohta thought, ("So that's the 'God-killing Spear' Yoruichi warned me about...I shouldn't have dropped my guard...")
Fortunately, while Gin's Bankai had caught him off guard, Ohta now had a decent understanding of its power and range. He could smell ozone, and the temperature was a lot warmer than one would expect when you were high enough to see the Earth's curvature. That meant he was somewhere in the Stratosphere, but since there were still clouds present, his altitude should only be around 12-15km. It was a startling distance to have been sent in an instant, but now that he had experienced the attack once, Ohta was confident he could counter it...
Instead of healing himself fully, Ohta allowed his pain to fuel his psychic power, empower his Reiatsu, and reinforce his body as he growled, "Time to show you that jackals eat snakes, you venomous bitch..."

(A/N: For those that are unaware, Gin's Bankai is at least Mach 500. It can extend and retract 13km/8.1 miles in 0.08 seconds. That's 171,500 meters per second. An object on the end of it would experience more than twelve million g-forces if they were at rest beforehand. When he swings it, the tip can reach the speed of light (O o O). As my old friend Phil Swift might say, "That's a lot of damage...!"')

As Ohta was preparing to descend to Karakura Town, a flash of light came from his left, illuminating his cloud cover and compelling him to Shunpo to safety as an invisible force ripped through his previous location.
("There's no point in running...") said an eerie, child-like voice in Ohta's mind, followed by the clouds dispersing to reveal the white sphere that had plagiarized his gravity-based beams.
("You've lost your weapon, and I can track your aura across dimensions,") attested the voice. At the same time, three red slits opened on its surface like eyes but with no visible irises or pupils.
Seeing Ohta materialize a dark sphere in his right hand, the spherical monstrosity stated, ("I am Blutgeist. I was vested life by Lord Aizen to destroy or consume you. Your gravitational and psychic powers do not affect me.")
"We'll see about that," said Ohta, crushing the sphere and absorbing its energy into his body, causing the increasingly vibrant tri-colored aura around him to become amethyst purple as he charged toward Blutgeist at extreme speeds.
Demonstrating that its words weren't complete bluster, Blutgeist didn't try to evade Ohta's attack. Instead, as the latter's fist approached, a primarily purple aura veiled its 3m wide body, shielding it in much the same way as Ohta's psychic barriers.
("I'm thankful to you, you know,") said Blutgeist, adding, ("Were it not for you, I would never have been granted this power. Now, while Lord Aizen rules over the Heavens from the seat of the Soul King, I shall dominate the Soul Society, Hueco Mundo, and the Human World. And it's all thanks to you.")
Punctuating its statement, Blutgeist released a powerful pule of psychic energy that dispersed the part of the cloak covering his right forearm and the bandages underneath. It also pushed him back, but thanks to his own psychic barrier, he sustained no real damage.
Eliciting a telepathic hum from Blutgeist, Ohta abruptly started snickering, his mouth stretching far wider than a normal human's as his voice echoed through the surroundings, empowered psychic energy. His matted bangs veiled the upper half of his face in shadows, but his crimson eyes showed clearly as he said, "This is hilarious. A fucking ball thinks he can defeat me at my own game? Or was your plan to have me die of laughter?"
Without waiting for Blutgeist's response, the fingerless gloves covering Ohta's hands evaporated. The abilities of his Bankai were linked to his khopesh-like spear, but he didn't lose his Shikai's ability to regulate and balance the energies within his body. Thus, even though he had dropped his spear when Gin sneak attacked him, he wasn't without his Zanpakuto. Rather, as Zanpakuto Spirits were linked to their users, they could never be separated by something as paltry as distance...
As the glovers representing Ohta's Zanpakuto disappeared, the psychic energy swirling around his body exploded outward, causing Blutgeist's 'eyes' to widen as the barrier around it rippled and began to fracture like glass.
Grinning from ear to ear, now with normal human teeth, Ohta stated, "You made a mistake by facing me this far above the ground. Now, I don't have to hold 'anything' back."
Spreading his arms wide, Ohta's smile appeared to grow with his psychic power, his voice echoing like the call of a reaper as he declared, "In other words, you dun goofed."
Before Blutgeist could respond, hundreds of concave spatial distortions appeared in the surroundings, functioning like lenses that redirected the sun's heat, light, and radiation at its body from every direction. A typical psychic barrier didn't block out light as it would leave the user completely blind, so Blutgeist telepathically screamed as the intense light flash-fried its slit-like eyes. Its nearly pure-white body helped it refract much of the heat and radiation, but all Ohta needed was an instant to shrink the space around it in preparation for a psychic crush.
"Let's see how strong your barrier is," said Ohta, slowly closing his hand. To his curiosity, Blutgeist responded by vibrating rapidly, producing the same 'resonance' it had generated when it first appeared and protected Wonderweiss.
Though blood streaked from its slit-like eyes, Blutgeist venomously asserted, ("I told you before...your psychic powers are useless against me...")
Orienting itself so that its presumed underside was showing, Blutgeist's body 'blossomed' into seven distinct pieces, its interior colored a fleshy crimson. Far more disgustingly, a bloody eye was suspended by nerves at its center, its iris completely black and bearing a Hollow hole in place of a pupil.
Just as Ohta was wondering what it was doing, a powerful gravitational force emanated from Blutgeist's interior as a black, red-tinged mass of energy gathered in front of its Hollow hole.
("Gran Ray Cero...") hissed Blutgeist, infusing its blood into its attack to make it nearly ten times more powerful. Unfortunately for it, Ohat didn't even try to dodge. Instead, the corners of his smile curled upward as the powerful energy beam curved around him, redirected due to his bending of space.
Slapping the air with his right hand, Ohta proved that Blutgeist wasn't nearly as immune as it believed by generating a massive, hand-shaped psychic construct that sent it flying even higher into the sky. The hand was partially shattered by the 'resonance' produced by Blutgeist, but it wasn't nearly fast enough to negate it completely.
("Damn you...!") screamed Blutgeist, unleashing a rage-fueled psychic burst toward Ohta. However, while the attack was much stronger than its previous ones, it barely produced a ripple across the ever-expanding pink, blue, and purple aura surrounding Ohta's body.
Amused by Blutgeist's rage, Ohta's smile began straining the muscles of his face as he pressed the tips of his fingers together and said, "Kami-no-Kengen(Divine Manifestation)." In response, his psychic energy formed a distinctly human shape, mirroring his actions as he grabbed Blutgeist with his right hand, congealing psychic energy faster than the Arrancar's ability could disperse it.
Rearing back like a major league baseball pitcher, causing his 50m tall avatar to do the same, Ohta threw Blutgeist like a baseball into the sky. He could have ended things the moment he unleashed his psychic power, but as this was his first time fighting against another psychic, he wanted to enjoy himself and maybe learn a few things. More precisely, he wanted to see and emulate the teleportation Blutgeist had used to block his initial attack and 'almost' catch him by surprise.
Spreading his tendrils to arrest his momentum, Blutgeist, trembling with rage, telepathically screamed, ("You think this is over!? You're not the only one whose psychic power gets stronger when they're enraged...!")
"Good!" replied Ohta, grinning like a demon as he punched forward and roared, "Keep getting stronger so that when I face your Lord, I can wipe the floor with him...!"
Catching Ohta a little off guard, the hilt of a Zanpakuto emerged from the fleshy mass behind Blutgeist's eye as it telepathically shouted, ("Devour, Desuellamentes(Mind Flayer)...!")
In the wake of a powerful psychic pulse, on par with the EMP generated by a nuclear explosion, Blutgeist's spherical body became vaguely more humanoid. Its head, neck, and a portion of its chest extending down to its thin waist were blood-red. Choral-like protrusions branched out from the back of its largely featureless face, dominated by a broad smile that could give Mayuri a run for his money. As for its body, a mass of white tentacles with a distinctive swirling pattern formed a long kilt around its waist while thin legs, ending in pointed toes, protruded from its interior. Similar white material covered its torso like a half vest, and it had six arms, choral-like protrusions jutting out from its shoulders, and a cape-like mass hanging loosely down its back.
Spreading its six arms wide, Blutgeist tilted its head to the side and smiled sinisterly as abyssal black swirls appeared at the center of its palms. At the same time, the featureless upper half of its face peeled open at several places, followed by crimson eyes of various shapes and sizes emerging from its equally crimson flesh.
Speaking telepathically and from its mouth at the same time, Blutgeist produced its own chorus as it shouted, ("Let's see how you deal with my Resurreccion...!")
Charging toward Ohta at extreme speeds, Blutgeist extended its many hands, tearing through the former's avatar by absorbing the energy it was comprised of using the 'voids' within its palms.
Undaunted by the rapid deconstruction of his avatar, Ohta waited until Blutgeist was within ten meters before surprising the many-eyed Arrancar by manifesting a short tanto with a silvery blade, predominately black hilt, at a tsuba resembling a cat's head, stating, "Let's Play, Susu..."
Before Blutgeist could process what had happened, four gashes appeared on the left side of its lanky body as Ohta, having disappeared, reappeared several meters behind it, his right arm sporting a mechanical gauntlet with long, golden, Reiatsu-formed claws. The same muted golden material that comprised the gauntlet followed his spine like an exoskeleton, connecting to a long, segmented, cat-like tail and a harness around his waist.
Holding its side with its three left hands, Blutgeist stared at Ohta with its many eyes, teeth stained red with blood as it hissed ("For someone that despises scheming and deception, you sure have plenty of tricks up your sleeve...")
Shrugging his shoulders, Ohta casually retorted, "Nah, I just happen to have a strange affinity with cats..."
Following Ohta's words, the segments between his tail, spine, and the back of his gauntlet exuded an intense golden glow as his body flickered, leaving behind a collapsing mote of golden light as he attempted to slice Blutgeist to ribbons. Lucky for him, the severely injured Arrancar lacked high-speed regeneration and seemed to have sacrificed the capacity to materialize a psychic barrier in exchange for the ability to absorb psychic energy through its palms. As a result, Blutgeist was forced to teleport to safety, causing a massive grin to develop across Ohta's face.
Reaching a 'safe' distance, several kilometers away from Ohta, Blutgeist made ram-like seals with the index and middle fingers of its right hands as it telepathically growled ("Branch out...") causing the protrusions on the back of its head and shoulders to extend. The abyssal-black vortices at the center of its palms vanished, but in exchange, psychic energy surged from its body, encompassing an area of more than a hundred meters in an instant.
Appearing within Blutgeist's psychic domain using the teleportation skill he had just copied, Ohta stabbed the unsuspecting Arrancar through the back as he mused, "Man, you're hopeless. Did you seriously believe you could absorb my psychic energy and then use it against me? This domain you set up might as well be mine, you dumb bitch."
Exhibiting his point, Ohta promptly absorbed the psychic energy released by Blutgeist. However, just in case Blutgeist had any tricks, he stored the excess energy within his cloak rather than drawing it directly into his body. This ended up being the correct decision, as the creepy Arrancar's head turned 180 degrees as it exclaimed, "You fool...!" with its oversized, incredibly toothy maw.
Teleporting away from Ohta, dislodging the blades that had pierced its chest, Blutgeist frenziedly screamed, "Lord Aizen granted me the unique ability to break down and destroy psychic energy! I infused traces of my power into the energy I absorbed from you, so now it will spread through your body until you're nothing but a mindless husk...!"
Feigning shock, Ohta placed his hands on his cheeks, making sure not to poke himself with his claws as he shouted, "Oh no! Whatever shall I do!?" in an overly dramatic fashion.
Failing to pick up on Ohta's sarcasm, the corners of Blutgeist's mouth tore open as it burst into a fit of crazed laughter, screaming, "That's right! Fear and fall into despair as the power you were so proud of becomes the very thing that kills you!"
"Maybe next time," replied Ohta, surprising Blutgeist as he dropped his facade and disappeared. This time, however, he wasn't using Shunpo. Instead, he utilized raw speed to produce dozens of afterimages as he sliced apart the largely defenseless Arrancar until it was nothing but a mass of red and white flesh raining from the sky. Curiously, as he saved the head for last, Blutgeist was conscious of the entire event, as, rather than conventional organs, its true body was one of the many eyes in its head. Ohta also destroyed them, but not before affording the wannabe Beholder a vicious grin, squeezing its final eye as he mused, "Dozens of eyes, and you still couldn't see how fucked you were..."
Punctuating his statement, Ohta crushed the final eyeball before turning his attention to Karakura Town, now more than twenty kilometers below. He had wasted several minutes dealing with Blutgeist, so without further delay, he locked onto the psychic imprint he had left inside of Yoruichi's body, teleporting to her side to find that she, a moderately injured Soifon, Urahara, and Ichigo's dad were observing from a distance as a shirtless, extremely ripped Yamamoto fought against Aizen...

With Ohta propelling everyone through the Garganta atop a psychic platform, Ichigo, recalling all the times they had to run through, was seriously tempted to give him a piece of his mind. Instead, he sat off to the side with his arms crossed, steeling himself for the coming battle alongside Unohana and her Lieutenant, a tall, well-endowed woman with grey eyes and short, nearly white hair called Kotetsu Isane. Undaunted by the fact they had an 'audience,' Yoruichi sat atop Ohta's lap with her back against his chest, feet curled and resting atop his calves as he held and caressed her abdomen. There was a chance she would die in the forthcoming battle, so she wasn't overly concerned with keeping their relationship a secret from Ichigo, Unohana, and Isane. Catching Ohta a little off guard, Yoruichi asked, "When all this is over, will you come with me to the Shihouin Clan Compound...?" "To what end...?" asked Ohta, generating a soundproof barrier to prevent their conversation from being overheard. He thoughtfully included Soifon within its canopy, but only to keep her from becoming grumpy and losing focus before the battle. Realizing what Ohta had done, Yoruichi placed her right hand over Ohta's, guiding it southward as she teased, "I want to show you off and introduce you to my younger siblings. After that, I believe it would be best if you joined the Onmitsukidō, assuming Soifon's former position as Commander of the Executive Militia..." Though he furrowed his brows slightly, Ohta didn't immediately reject Yoruichi's proposition. Instead, he began to rub her through the fabric of her hakama as he asked, "Is this the true reason you assigned Soifon to me?
