Fenrir's Journey : I Shall Devour The Heavens!

With the rest of his fellow Elders dead, Cao Dong glared at the young woman in front of him with icy eyes, even as he dodged around, screaming, "You wretched and vile woman! Why are you using such cruel and vicious means without provocation!? Do you think the Blazing Sun Sect will tolerate-" Before he was able to finish his sentence, Cao Dong had to muster up a large barrier of fire elemental qi to try and resist the large agglomeration of ice that Fenrir had launched toward him.Though it was only a small sphere, he didn't underestimate the power contained within but was still knocked more than a hundred meters before crashing into the ground below. His impact caused deep and wide fractures in the earth as his body was buried several meters into the hard stone surface. Before he was able to recover, a second sphere of ice tore through the air with even greater momentum than the first, smashing into impact area and creating a large column of ice that spread through the ground and turned a large portion of the exposed earth into an icy wasteland.Fenrir released a snort after dealing with the pretentious old man who was trying to lecture her, even though his people were the ones sneaking about and conspiring against others. At least her methods were open and direct, set into motion because of the underhanded methods they relied on when bullying those weaker than themselves. The fact they still chose to spout such annoying words, knowing full well the type of people they were, was one of the things that annoyed Fenrir more than anything else. She didn't even bother to loot their bodies and instead wrapped them up with telekinesis before ambling slowly through the sky. Her proficiency with the ability wasn't nearly as advanced as her Master's but, with a lot of practice, Fenrir was able to move around a few hundred kilograms with ease.With her reduced speed, Fenrir was able to arrive near the outskirts of the Blazing Sun Sect without overshooting it a second time. Though the previous battle was relatively short, it hadn't gone unnoticed by the Sect so there was already a large formation of people that had erected some kind of complex barrier around the expansive grounds. In the sky, there were more than a dozen relatively strong Cultivators but only one of them, an elderly man with strangely black eyebrows, had a Golden Core inside their abdomens. Fenrir could tell that he was probably the strongest person in the Sect while the middle-aged man standing next to him was likely the Sect Master.Fenrir came to a stop just outside the massive barrier before saying, "This is the only warning I am going to give you. Stop antagonizing the Devouring Moon Sect unless you want to lose a lot more than just a few Elders. The next time you antagonize them, the Blazing Sun Sect will no longer exist within this world..." To punctuate her words, Fenrir tossed the bodies of the three Elders she had recovered, as the fourth was still encased in a pillar of ice, allowing their corpses to hit the barrier below. The moment the bodies contact the off-red membrane, the barrier flickered before encompassing the deceased Elders and burning their unprotected bodies into ash...(Fenrir's Commentary: 'Bad people pretending to be good people are the worst people...')

From among the gathered Cultivators from the Blazing Sun Sect, the elderly man with the Golden Core and the middle-aged man who Fenrir assumed to be the Sect Leader both came forward. Each of their eyes blazed like small suns as the older of the two icily asked, "What is your relationship with the Devouring Moon Sect...?" Though he already had an idea, the elderly man, Wang Xiaoping, wanted to hear the answer directly from Fenrir's lips. Her only response, however, was to snort as she said, "I just told you to stop antagonizing others. I'm not going to waste my time answering your questions..."Unable to prevent her feelings of scorn from showing on her face, Fenrir scowled back at Wang Xiaoping before turning her back to the group. She didn't immediately move away, fully expecting them to set aside the dignity they pretended to have by attempting to sneak attack her. Thus, when the man she assumed to be the Sect Leader immediately moved like a phantom and tried to attack her, Fenrir wasn't even remotely surprised as she vanished from view and appeared behind him. The man had attacked with a pure red sword that radiated an intense amount of heat, causing small fluctuations in the void wherever it passed.Fenrir sensed the elderly man move to attack her but she simply responded by holding out her hand and overlaying several magical barriers while her other hand tore through the body of her would-be attacker and shredded him to pieces. She felt an immense force crash into her barriers, causing a splitting feeling to emerge in her head but it wasn't that difficult to bear. Fenrir used the rage welling up inside her to twist her body around agilely, using the momentum of her previous attack to send invisible blades of energy toward Wang Xiaoping.Though he was incensed by the fact that Fenrir had killed another one of his people, Wang Xiaoping didn't have time to mourn as his hand twisted around, pulling the fabric of space with it. A blazing inferno immediately formed in the void as he shouted, "Blazing Sun, Solar Flare..!" with a voice so deep it sounded like the rumbling of the earth. The massive swirl of fire elemental qi turned into a golden whirlpool that radiated so much heat that it immediately charred the already blackened stoned of the inert volcano below.Fenrir felt her own ice elemental energy begin to stir, causing her skin to tingle annoyingly as she changed from using her [Severing Claws] to congregating a massive amount of mana into her palm. This was a way she could blend together the attack techniques of Cultivators with the magic system she had learned from Eva, even if her use of the energy was still lacking. Even so, the elemental manipulation of mana seemed stronger than the influence of qi so Fenrir's attack was able to break through the torrential whirlpool of flames as she attempted to strike against Wang Xiaoping's chest.Seeing how 'easily' the young girl had dealt with his attack, Wang Xiaoping felt like the hair at his temples was loosening as his brain buzzed in frustration. His left hand formed into a three-fingered claw with his index and middle finger forming one digit, his ring and pinky forming a second, and his thumb forming the third. Though it wasn't quite that fast, Wang Xiaoping's claw seemed to move like lightning as he attempted to grasp Fenrir's wrist and shattered the bones within. There was already a layer of intense fire elemental energy formed around the claw and, against a normal opponent, it wouldn't have been difficult for him to turn the target into ashes on contact...Fenrir's eyes flashed with an icy blue light as her palm continued forward, earning a sneer from Wang Xiaoping as he fearlessly tried to complete his action. His claw continued forward, grasping Fenrir's wrist in a vice-like grip as he tightened his fingers with as much power as he could manage. There was a strange incongruity in Wang Xiaoping's mind as he felt absolutely no resistance, even though he clearly had grasped Fenrir's wrist without any major difficulty. His brain was never able to fully process exactly what had gone wrong, however, as Fenrir's palm pressed against his chest and completely froze his insides in an instant. Then, to the shock and horror of the yet to mobilize Elders, they watched as their Supreme Elder, missing his left hand, fell into the barrier below, shattering into pieces before his body parts turned to ash...(Fenrir's Commentary: 'Only Master is allowed to touch me...')

After memorizing the location of the Blazing Sun Sect, and refusing several offers from Wen Xiulan to have someone accompany her, Fenrir took to the sky like a hypersonic bullet. Though she didn't have the same kind of profound movement techniques as some of the Cultivators in this world, her potential speed was actually much higher. By creating a small barrier of devouring energy in front of her flight path, she was even able to cut through concepts like Gravity and air friction, accelerating rapidly without limit. In fact, the fast she went, the quicker her own energy would replenish from the membrane of devouring energy absorbing elemental energy and qi from the environment...As a result of her enhanced speed, Fenrir found herself able to make what should have been a three-day journey in only seventeen hours. Though she had some trouble stopping, overshooting the location of the Blazing Sun Sect by several hundred kilometers, it ended up saving Fenrir a bit of time since most of their Elders had gathered after she bolted by. Some had even given chase, believing it was some great Senior heading towards a major event or having discovered a treasure. If it was an incident they could take advantage of, it was exceedingly common in this world to do just that. In the vent they were weaker than the other party, it was an opportunity to try and establish some fate and pay 'respects' as Juniors...Fortunately, before the Elders were able to catch up to her, Fenrir managed to extricate herself from the large tunnel her crash had caused, tidying up her clothing a few minutes before a group of four relatively powerful middle-aged men showed up in the sky above. She saw the symbol on their robes so, before they were able to ask any probing questions, Fenrir gave them a quick once-over, saying, "I have come at the behest of the Devouring Moon Sect to teach the Blazing Sun Sect not to pry into the affairs of others. Since you want to bully others, do not blame Fenrir for bullying you...!"Before any of the Elders were able to rebuff or rebuke her, as the looks on their faces expressed their intentions, Fenrir vanished from view. None of these Elders were even at the Nascent Soul Realm, completely lacking a Golden Core. Though she didn't have the ability to determine exact Cultivation levels just yet, the absence of a Golden Core was all Fenrir needed to know in order to classify this group as 'weak'. As a result, her [Shundo] allowed her to appear at the flank of one of the men, infusing a small amount of devouring energy into her [Severing Claws]. The two differing energies didn't blend together very well, but it was still enough to completely cut the unsuspecting man at the waist.The three surviving Elders reacted quickly while the oldest in their group shouted, "Scoundrel...!" in a righteous tone. If not for the fact his eyes showed an extreme amount of greed as he eyed her body, an outsider could have misunderstood the indignation and incredulity in his voice as genuine admonishment. Fenrir, however, simply snorted through her nose as she moved her palm to meet the sword of the nearest Elder. A thin membrane of devouring energy blossomed from her hand, causing the sword to break down faster than it could progress forward...With her free hand, Fenrir 'tapped' against the air with her index finger, causing several icy loti to spread out and begin self-replicating as she vanished from the area with [Koku Shundo]. Though the attack didn't hit any of the Elders, the surrounding temperature was dropping rapidly as the flowers continued to grow in size. This wasn't enough to cause harm to most Cultivators but, with the Laws infused inside the icy lotus, everything within the immediate area would be suffused with the cold energy of Ice Elemental Laws. They would experience a cold that required a large amount of qi to resist, lest their bodies be slowed by the invasive energies...At this point, the three surviving Elders had spread out, trying to surround Fenrir as they each released the same sword strike toward the blossoming loti. Pillars of vibrant flames dispersed the cold energy in the air, overwhelming the quality of Fenrir's attack with quantity. Since she hadn't used much of her own magic power in the attack, the qi of the Elders was able to disperse it. This was one of the main weaknesses of her shallow cultivation level, at least for the time being.While the Elders had been dealing with the array of ice loti Fenrir had formed, she had already appeared behind her second victim. He was still in the motion of his sword strike when Fenrir swiped her [Severing Claws] across his back. His body was cut into five sections as his qi instantly dispersed outward, feeding into Fenrir's own reserves as she brought her hands together, chanting, "Master, give me strength~! Gather, seventeen spirits of ice, cut apart my enemy. Magic Arrows, Series of seventeen Ice Arrows~!" Though it was possible for her to omit the chant, the strength of a spell was greatly enhanced when the full chant was used.The two surviving Elders tried to evade the seventeen hypersonic ice arrows that were homing in on their position, using every means at their disposal to prolong their lives. Unfortunately, as the younger of the two Elders overestimated himself and tried to strike down the arrows with his sword, he learned the hard way that the complex structure of magical spells was far more intricate than a simple swipe from a sword. Though there were majestic flames formed around the blade, they were immediately extinguished as the man's body turned into a large cube of ice that claimed his life shortly after smashing to the ground below...(A/N: Fenrir's Commentary: 'Fenrir did not come here to talk...!')
