Fenrir's Journey : I Shall Devour The Heavens!

Training with Eva was very difficult but, to avoid feeling the pain of loneliness, Fenrir studied as hard as she could. Eva was a ruthless Master, unlike her kind and gentle Master, but she was also very strong. Fenrir could also tell that, though Eva was very hard on her, and her Master's True Dragon, Terra, she wasn't really a 'bad' girl. Eva always made sure to explain anything that Fenrir couldn't understand and, because Fenrir also had an affinity with Ice, Eva had started teaching her some of the unique magic she had developed over a several-hundred-year period...(A/N: There will be a subtle shift in the tone from this point on.)Even though she did her best to not let the loneliness get to her, Fenrir found it was difficult to last the entire four year period as Eva's understudy. She had become much stronger but, as a result of her increased magical power, the hunger that slept deep inside of her became more difficult to manage. Without her Master there to replenish her reserves, Fenrir was unable to continue putting the maximum amount of effort into her training.Things eventually reached the point where moving around was very difficult and, unable to continue any longer, Fenrir used what remained of her energy to build an Ice Palace to wait for her Master's return. She constructed a large bed of ice in the very center of the palace and, after using up a large portion of her magic power, Fenrir curled up into a small ball and began to hibernate. In truth, she didn't really dream, nor did she even require sleep, but Fenrir had gotten good at sleeping on command. During the brief periods of time when she would wake, Fenrir would weakly raise her head and sniff the air, hoping for any sign of her Master's return. Then, after spending a few minutes trying to recall the warmth he always brought her, Fenrir returned to her slumber once again.After a long cycle of sleeping, waking, and returning to the blissful embrace of darkness, Fenrir finally awoke to find an abnormality in the space surrounding her. The link that connecting her heart with that of her Master's became active and, even without smelling the air, she knew he had returned. It was very difficult, but Fenrir managed to stay awake as she waited for his arrival. Then, after what had felt like an eternity, the cold air of the Ice Palace retreated and, like the sun cresting over the horizon after the darkest of nights, her Master arrived.She had never possessed them as a Kobold so this was one of the first times in her life that Fenrir actually released tears. With what remained of her strength, she began to gently wag her tail to show her Master that she was aware of his presence. An instant later, he appeared at her side, bringing with him the long-forgotten warmth that seemed like something from a lifetime ago. This time, instead of allowing her Master to hold her for comfort, Fenrir enjoyed the feeling of the comfort he brought to her. Their roles had reversed and, for the first time in her life, Fenrir understood what it truly meant to share happiness with another person. She now knew what it meant to be loved...and what it meant to love another...(Fenrir's Commentary: 'Master, I truly do love you...always, and forever...')

Now that she had reunited with her Master, and returned to the real world where their family and friends were waiting, Fenrir was very happy. She was now much stronger, stronger than even her Master, not that she would ever harm him. The only reason she had become strong was to protect him...strong enough to bond they shared together, and the hope she had for the future...During the time she had spent with Eva, Fenrir realized that there was a greater problem with her body than she expected. Not only was she unable to bear children, but as a result of her body always healing back to her 'default' state, she could never be with her Master without experiencing a lot of pain. Though she could bear such an 'insignificant' amount of pain, Fenrir knew that her Master would be heartbroken by her suffering. He might give in if she pleaded to him, but this would, in turn, make her Master sad.Fortunately, her Master always kept her in his heart so, even without her saying anything, he was the one that came to her. Not only did he have a potential solution, which made her heart do backflips, but he also accepted her feelings. No longer were they simple Master and companion, but prospective lovers that would walk through eternity together. That night, though they didn't have sex, Fenrir slept with her Master completely naked. The warmth was the same as it had been in the past, but the meaning behind it had changed. Though she did not yet truly know what it meant to be a 'woman', Fenrir knew what it meant to be loved and sought after...The method her Master had come up with was known as 'Cultivation', a means by which she could increase the strength of her soul. Doing so would allow her to fundamentally change the nature of her existence, even enabling her to completely recreate her body in some circumstances. It wouldn't be easy, as such methods opposed the very flow of fate, but Fenrir had an eternity to work with. Even if it took until all the stars in the sky burned out, she would never give up trying to reach her dream...In order to prevent her Innate, the skill she knew as [Insatiable Hunger], from overwhelming her mind, Fenrir needed to practice her control. She needed to possess a strong mind, free of emotional stress, and a calm heart, unperturbed by any matter. Her Master gave her a strange book, called [Mind of Still Water, Heart of Eternal Ice], that demonstrated a technique to achieve this state. According to the description, it would allow her to surpress her emotions almost entirely, having a mind and heart similar in name to the technique. The only thing that would be able to melt her icy visage would be the love of her Master, something Fenrir found solace in as she began her training in earnest...To aid in her training, her Master also gave her a very comfortable bed, known as [Pristine Jade Ice Bed]. She had always had a very strong affinity with Water, Ice, and Yin elemental Laws. Sleeping on the bed helped increase her strength and, as it was put in a room only she and her Master had access to, Fenrir was very fond of sleeping on it. She enjoyed how the ice crystals would form on her fur and, on occasion, how her Master would sleep at her side...(Fenrir's Commentary: 'Even if my heart became like a glacier, I always believed my Master would be able to melt it...')

As time passed, Fenrir began to realize that learning wasn't the only thing that was necessary to be an adult. She was still too young to be considered mature and, unlike the other girls around her Master, Fenrir's body never changed. Ever since she was named, Fenrir 'knew' deep inside of her that she would be with her Master forever. Even if the stars in the sky burned out, Fenrir was confident she and her Master would continue forward for a much longer period of time. This was because her Master was immortal and she, Fenrir herself, was 'Ageless'. No matter how much time passed, Fenrir's body would never grow up to become curvy and soft like other girls...Fenrir knew that, like herself, there was another girl who's body didn't grow up either. In that hateful place that had caused her so much pain, Fenrir knew the girl inside had been there for a much longer period of time. Since she knew about numbers now, Fenrir knew the girl had stayed there hundreds of times longer than she did, something Fenrir couldn't even fathom. She imagined the girl felt a much greater loneliness than anything she could comprehend so, even though Fenrir was still scared of the girl, she decided not to hate her anymore. Fenrir hoped that the girl, a True Vampire named Eva, would help her find a solution. Since Eva was very close to her Master, Fenrir believed she would be able to help her become an adult...Splitting her time between taking care of her Master, protecting his home, and making sure the other girls were 'behaving', Fenrir slowly made her plans. When the strange orb that kept Eva imprisoned 'woke' back up, Fenrir decided she would stay inside of it once again. Eva was very powerful and wise, so Fenrir would be able to become much stronger if she learned from her. It would be very painful to be away from her Master for another four years, but Fenrir believed it was for the best. She would be able to become strong, learn how to be a mature adult, and show her Master how patient, mature, and reliable she could be.Eventually, after a long period of time, the orb containing Eva woke back up. Fenrir went inside with her Master and, though it was very hard, made the decision to stay. Her Master gave her a lot of encouragement and stayed at her side until the very end, comforting her to the best of his ability. Using the memories of that warmth, Fenrir watched the heartbreaking sight of her Master disappearing from her life once again.From that point onwards, she swore to never be apart from her Master anymore. She would train harder than ever before to become stronger, strong enough to protect her Master and stay by his side. The other girls would 'have' to behave if she was the strongest and, one day, Fenrir believed her strength would also enable her to one day overcome the limitations of her 'Ageless' body. Like many of the girls surrounding her Master, Fenrir wanted to make a baby with him...or at the very least be 'capable' of making a baby...(Fenrir's Commentary: 'Fenrir will never lose hope...')
