Upon arriving at Urahara's store, Ohta found Kisuke waiting for him in the storefront, fanning himself and sporting a sly smile as he said, "Yoruicihi is waiting for you in the underground study chamber. But, as your senpai, let me give you some advice before you go. Push her buttons too frequently, and she's bound to start pushing back..."
"I'll keep that in mind," replied Ohta, making his way past Urahara without sparing the man a glance. It was fairly obvious that Yoruichi and Urahara were more than simple colleagues, but as he had told the buxom cat girl, he didn't care about matters of the past. "Here already? I wasn't expecting you until noon," remarked Yoruichi, grinning like a succubus as she stared back at Ohta from the interior of a hazy, comfortable-looking hot spring.
Instead of responding to Yoruichi's teasing, Ohta pulled at the fabric of white cloth around his waist, making it appear as though he was about to strip. In response, Youruichi mused, "Too late for that," before rising to her feet, revealing what Ohta already knew: she had an incredible body.
"I may have made a mistake..." admitted Ohta, earning an amused chuckle from the brown-skinned beauty as she strode past him completely naked, stating, "The past is in the past. Do better from now on..." before promptly kicking him toward the hot spring.
Anticipating Yoruichi's vindictiveness, Ohta's body floated over the hot spring rather than falling into it. About halfway, he created a foothold in the air to use Shunpo, vanishing and intending to appear behind Yoruichi, but she had already moved.
"Nice try, but your half-assed Shunpo can't get the jump on me," teased Yoruichi, standing atop a boulder a few meters away. Unfortunately, even though only a few seconds had passed, she was somehow wearing most of her clothes. The only thing she was missing was the band used to tie up her hair, so she reached up to fasten it as she added, "I'm not a good teacher. More importantly, you're insufferable as a student. So, instead of concentrating on theory, we will focus on your favorite thing. Experiencing things directly..."
With her hair fixed, Yoruichi lowered her hands and adopted a toothy grin as she teased, "Now's your only chance to run..."
Instead of running, Ohta raised his right hand and unleashed a powerful psychic push, utterly obliterating the boulder Yoruichi had been standing on. At nearly the same time, a heavy blow landed on his ribs, sending pain through his body but failing to do any substantial damage as he swept his hand in a wide arc, tearing away a large swath of the terrain.
"Those invisible attacks of yours are pretty scary," remarked Yoruichi, appearing a few meters away before promptly vanishing as Ohta sent another destructive blow toward her.
Appearing in Ohta's blindspot, Yoruichi briefly appended, "But your actual movements are slow. Once the element of surprise is removed, any skilled opponent can predict and evade your attacks..."
Kicking through where Yoruichi had been standing, Ohta calmly asserted, "That's a pretty dangerous assumption to make. You still haven't seen the full extent of my power..."
"So you say..." responded Yoruichi, appearing atop Ohta's shoulders as she looked down at him, grinning fiercely as she said, "Perhaps I should demonstrate a fraction of my own..."
Though a veil of psychic energy protected him, Ohta suddenly felt as though Yoruichi's diminutive 42 kilograms had compounded hundreds, if not thousands, of times over. The ground didn't crack beneath him, but he found it impossible to breathe, much less stand, as a powerful vibrational force wracked his body.
Standing atop Ohta's back with her arms crossed, Yoruichi's expression became apathetic as she explained, "This is Reiatsu(Spirit Pressure), the form spirit energy takes when imbued with a person's willpower. What I have you experiencing right now is what you can expect from the average Lieutenant with their Limiter in place."
Alighting from Ohta's back, Yoruichi was about to ask what he thought of a Lieutenant's Reiatsu when her instincts triggered, compelling her to step back and disappear, reappearing several meters away.
Rising from the ground as if he was hovering limply, Ohta exhaled a deep-throated chuckle that gave Yoruichi chills as he raised his head to reveal a smile and a faint red glow in his eyes.
"Fine, if you want it that badly, I'll give you a taste of what lies beyond the tip..." declared Ohta, losing his smile as he corrected his posture and exuded a powerful pressure of his own. Instead of simply causing the air and ground to tremble, however, large boulders began to rise around him, fracturing into tinier pieces that were sent hurtling toward Yoruichi at high speeds. At the same time, the majority of the debris began to swirl around him, concealing him from view as static caused lighting bolts to crackle in and around the destructive tempest.
Evading the projectiles hurled her way, Yoruichi appeared more than a hundred meters away from Ohta's rapidly spreading swirl of destruction, muttering, "This explains why he refused to use his power in the city and forest..." while smiling fearlessly.
Though she doubted Ohta could hear her, Yoruichi shouted, "Time for a Kido lesson!" before crossing her middle and index fingers, chanting, "Oh carriage of thunder, bridge of a spinning wheel! With light, divide this into six and seal...!"
Upon completing her chant, Yoruichi pointed toward the center of Ohta's tempest, locking onto his spiritual signature. As she did so, large, glass-like panes of golden light materialized around the typhoon-like swirl of debris before converging toward its center. Immediately afterward, the debris cloud unfurled outward and began to disperse, losing the invisible force fueling it. At least initially...
Earning an appreciative whistle from Yoruichi, Ohta released a loud "Ha!" that resonated through the underground study chamber, shattering the panes of light that had momentarily restrained his body. Then, instead of trying to recreate the storm, he tore it apart with a palm thrust, creating an invisible column of destruction that tore through the area Yoruichi had been standing in before drilling into the painted chamber wall, leaving a crater more than ten meters deep and fifty in diameter.
Catching a glimpse of what Ohta looked like when he emerged from the dust cloud, Yoruichi's brows perked up. His usually wild hair was sticking out and had become noticeably spikier, and she could actually see a dark purple aura surrounding his body...
Sensing Yoruichi's position, Ohta looked toward her, regaining his usual smile as he said, "I expected this place to be sturdier. Looks like anything more than the tip is too much for it to handle. How about you? Want some more...?"
Rolling her eyes, Yoruichi crossed her arms and asked, "How much further can you go? This is certainly impressive, but if I were serious about killing you, the fight would have ended dozens of times by now."
"Your Zanpakuto...?" asked Ohta.
Shaking her head, Yoruichi revealed, "I'm actually stronger 'without' my Zanpakuto. At least its base form. As for its Bankai(Second Release), the only people who have seen it and lived are the Captain Commander of the Gotei 13(Thirteen Court Guardian Squads), my younger brother, and that bastard, Kisuke."
"Ominous," mused Ohta, closing his eyes and bringing his hands together as if he were about to offer up a prayer. "Then, in anticipation of being the fourth survivor, I'll give you a preview of what lies a little further beyond the tip..."
Feeling every nerve in her body tense, Yoruichi wanted to evade but felt as though Ohta's power had permeated the entirety of the underground study chamber. Stones and debris rose from the ground everywhere she could see, and even her hair and clothes began to rise, almost like gravity was in the process of reversing.
Demonstrating that Yoruichi's impression wasn't far from the truth, the aura around Ohta deepened, shifting from dark purple to near-black as a powerful attraction force pulled the affected debris toward him. Yoruichi was also affected but managed to stand her ground by adhering her feet to the terrain with her spirit energy.
"So he really can manipulate gravity..." muttered Yoruichi, her golden eyes glistening with intrigue. She had heard as much from Kisuke, but this was the first time she was seeing Ohta get 'serious.'
"Kusho(Void)..." muttered Ohta, his voice carrying despite the fact he had barely uttered aloud. As he did so, the aura around his body grew until it formed a sphere that appeared to disintegrate everything that came into contact with it, including the water from the nearby hot spring.
Sensing a legitimate threat to her life, the back of Yoruichi's orange top abruptly burst apart as she flickered out of existence. Unlike when she usually executed Shunpo, however, the ground where she had been standing erupted as if the mother of all anti-tank mines had exploded beneath her.
At nearly the exact moment when Yoruichi had disappeared, Ohta opened his palms, unleashing a nearly black beam of energy that struck the area she had been standing at near-lightspeeds, penetrating the wall of the chamber and causing the ground near to beam to heave, pulled into the beam's immense gravitational force.
Reappearing on the opposite side of Ohta, bluish-white 'steam' rising from her back and shoulders, Yoruichi extended her hands toward Ohta, palms facing forward and the tips of her index fingers touching as she shouted, "Hadō #32. Ōkasen(Golden Flash)...!"
In response to Yoruichi's chant, a golden sphere of light materialized a few centimeters away from her palms. Then, much like Ohta's 'Kusho,' it formed a beam of light that instantaneously impacted the black sphere enveloping his body. Yoruichi didn't think a hastily chanted spell would have much of an effect on the sphere, but what actually occurred left her wide-eyed and speechless.
Similar to the water and debris that had been pulled toward him, the beam of golden light unleashed by Yoruichi impacted the purple-black sphere around Ohta's body and simply disappeared. The only thing her attack managed to accomplish was alerting Ohta to her position, causing him to swivel like a turret before unleashing another black beam.
("What the hell is that barrier...!?") exclaimed Yoruichi, albeit only within her mind. She thought the energy around Ohta's body was simply a form of gravity manipulation, but unless he was a literal black hole, it shouldn't be able to 'eat' her attack with such ease...
("Wait a minute...why isn't he attacking...?") wondered Yoruichi, observing Ohta extremely intently after dodging his second attack. Several seconds had passed since then, but Ohta remained completely still, his eyes shut and palms together.
Immediately putting her theory to the test, Yoruichi slapped the ground beneath her, causing a massive, rectangular slab of stone to rise up as if she had flipped a tatami. Ohta didn't respond initially, but he immediately swiveled toward her when she kicked the stone slab, sending it crashing into the black barrier and causing it to break apart before being absorbed.
Dodging the third beam of light with much greater ease than the first two, Yoruichi brought her hands around her mouth and shouted, "Hey, asshole, drop your barrier right this instant, and I'll let you fuck my tits...!"
Confirming Yoruichi's suspicions, Ohta didn't react at all to her shout. It could be due to the massive amount of debris being pulled toward him, causing a tremendous racket, but he should have reacted at least a little.
"This little shit can't see or hear anything..." concluded Yoruichi, crossing her arms and waiting nearly seven minutes for Ohta to open his eyes, the 'barrier' around him dissipating as he did so.
Regaining the ability to sense his surroundings, Ohta pivoted toward Yoruichi and found her staring at him with a smile. He thought this was because she had discovered the secret to his Kusho, but if he knew the true reason, he might have shown her what came after...

"That was some impressive offensive and defensive power," remarked Yoruichi. "But it's impractical if you can't see or hear anything. Not to mention that if you fire off that beam indiscriminately, you could harm your allies."
Raising his brows, Ohta noted, "Wow, you're pretty smart when you want to be."
Tilting her head forward and looking up at Ohta, Yoruichi warned, "Don't make me bury you..."
Ignoring Yoruichi's threat, Ohta looked around to admire the devastation his Kusho state had wrought. It was only his second time using it, but he didn't have an opponent the first time. He just created a really deep shaft in the nearby mountains, the consequence of activating the technique in a trance and being pulled downward by the Earth's gravity.
Snapping her fingers, Yoruichi said, "Don't ignore me. Also, unless you want to cause the ceiling to collapse, burying us and damaging the city above, no more damaging the walls."
"Yes, mom..." replied Ohta, rolling his eyes as he turned to meet Yoruichi's gaze, asking, "So, what now?"
"Now, we work on your foundation," said Yoruichi. "Your mental abilities are off the charts, but you're severely lacking in the physical and spiritual departments. With a robust body, you won't have to rely on that barrier of yours as often, and if you attune your spiritual sense, you should be able to detect your opponents even in that Kusho state."
Crossing his arm, Ohta asked, "So, what are you suggesting? Endurance training? Meditation?"
Adopting a smile, Yoruichi gave a curt nod and replied, "Those would certainly help. However, you don't strike me as the particularly patient type. Instead, we'll do what we did the other day: play a game. More specifically, I'm going to blindfold you. If you can locate me within ten minutes of being blindfolded, I'll reward you. Sound simple enough...?"
"At least on the surface..." replied Ohta, understanding they wouldn't be playing a simple game of Marco Polo. The underground chamber was a rectangular prism with a width and breadth exceeding one kilometer, so Yoruichi had a lot of room to hide. Not to mention she could completely conceal her presence...
Seeing through Ohta's thought, Yoruichi adopted a sly smile and assured, "Relax. I won't start concealing my presence until you develop a knack for sensing. I'll also hide within a hundred meters of your starting position, so it shouldn't be 'that' difficult to determine my location."
"Then, if I succeed, I get to enjoy the remainder of the time," remarked Ohta, adopting a mischievous grin.
"Yeah, I expected you to say that..." remarked Yoruichi, crossing her arms as she added, "But, sure. Just keep in mind that the difficulty will increase proportionally to your behavior and performance..."
"Sounds like fun," replied Ohta, extending his hand to indicate that she should give him the blindfold.
"Use the cloth around your waist and tie it snugly," instructed Yoruichi. "Once you have, I'll give you a few seconds to acclimate before using Shunpo. If you pay close attention and manage to sense the direction I move, finding me will be a lot easier."
Nodding his head, Ohta took a moment to prepare his blindfold before adopting a smile and stating, "Let's do this." with confidence. Yoruichi narrowed her golden eyes in suspicion but didn't say anything as she disappeared from view, reappearing just ten meters away with crossed arms.
Contrasting Yoruichi's expectations, Ohta didn't say or do anything for nearly ten minutes. Instead, he remained at his starting position, slowly swiveling his head from side to side. He looked directly at her once but didn't linger for more than a few seconds before looking away.
"This is harder than I thought it would be..." remarked Ohta, adopting a genuinely wry smile. He initially thought he would be able to see through the cloth if he focused, but because it was made of spirit energy, it was a lot harder than looking through walls...
Waiting until the full ten minutes were up, Yoruichi responded, "You'll get the hang of it." before promptly repositioning herself.
"Well, I could always use my psychic energy like sonar," remarked Ohta, looking in the direction Yoruichi had been moments prior but not moving toward it. Then, as he swiveled his head slowly in the other direction, he mused, "But that wouldn't be fair to you..."
Rolling her eyes, Yoruichi crossed her arms and patiently waited another ten minutes before asserting, "That would completely defeat the purpose of this training. Most of your opponents in the future will have spiritual or soul-formed bodies, so you need to be able to detect spirit energy."
Pivoting toward Yoruichi, Ohta remained silent for several seconds before adopting a sly smile and musing, "Still, it's pretty tempting. After that little show you gave me earlier, I'm feeling 'optimistic' about our collaboration from here on..."
Causing Yoruichi's eye to twitch, Ohta began making his way slowly but steadily toward her. She hadn't moved since responding to him, so he was gradually able to sense 'something' in that direction. It was difficult to put into words, but if he had to, it was akin to the peculiar feeling that people would sometimes get when passing through areas known to be inhabited by wild cats and other dangerous predators...
Following the sensation, feeling it get stronger over time, it wasn't long before Ohta was within arm's reach of a frowning Yoruichi. The strange feeling wasn't the only thing he could sense at that range, so he leaned forward slightly and gave the air a whiff before adopting a faint smile and remarking, "You smell nice."
Exhaling a sigh, Yoruichi replied, "Just get on with it..." in a huffy, clearly annoyed tone.
"Maybe later," replied Ohta. "I was originally planning to leave a psychic imprint on you to make things easier for myself, but I think I'm starting to get a feel for this. Let's continue."
Raising her brows, Yoruichi questioned, "Are you sure? You won't be able to find me as easily in the future."
"Does it matter?" asked Ohta, adopting a shit-eating grin as he mused, "I have you as my evening companion until we part ways or you stab me in the back. Missing out on a few minutes is no great loss."
"..."
Instead of responding to Ohta with words, Yoruichi utilized Shunpo to vanish and reappear more than twenty meters away. This caused Ohta to resume the process of slowly swiveling his head, pausing for increasingly long periods whenever he looked in her direction.
"Yeah, I'm definitely getting the hang of this..." said Ohta, making his way toward Yoruichi with about three minutes to spare.
Waiting until Ohta had reached her, Yoruichi replied, "So it would seem..." in a flat tone. "However, whatever you're using, it's not spiritual sense. I completely erased my presence this time, yet you still managed to find me. If you're not cheating, you're utilizing something else to locate my position..."
"If I were cheating, I would have taken advantage of it," remarked Ohta. Then, as it was the only thing that came to mind, he proffered, "If I had to guess, it's because we're linked..." while tapping the tanto strapped to his lower back.
"Ah..."
As it was fairly obvious once Ohta had pointed it out, Yoruichi exhaled a light chuckle, regaining a smile as she said, "If that's the case, we'll need someone else to help with this particular training."
Clicking his tongue, Ohta remarked, "Should have kept my mouth shut..." in a faint tone. He wasn't genuinely upset, but because Yoruichi couldn't see his eyes, it was a lot easier to portray.
Seeing through Ohta's ploy, Yoruichi rolled her eyes and said, "Let's put it to the test. I'm going to conceal myself seriously this time. If you manage to find me, I really will sit on your face."
Though it was mostly for dramatic effect, Ohta released a psychic pulse from his body, portraying 'seriousness' as he expressed, "You should hide well..."
"Oh, trust me, I will," replied Yoruichi, promptly disappearing. This time, however, she didn't reappear within the underground chamber. Instead, she made her way to the surface and continued even further, ultimately making her way to Ohta's apartment to see if he would be able to locate her aboveground and halfway across town...

Though it was a tremendous pain in the ass to find his way out of the underground chamber and navigate Karakura Town blindfolded, Ohta eventually reached the outside of his apartment around 2:38 PM, nearly six hours after the impromptu game of hide and seek began.
"You picked a hell of a place to hide..." remarked Ohta, phasing through his front door.
Lying on Ohta's bed, Yoruichi lazily replied, "And you're lucky I didn't give you a time limit. In hindsight, that was a pretty major blunder on my part."
Reaching up to remove his blindfold, Ohta was interrupted by Yoruichi asking, "What are you doing? I never said this was the end of our training. The blindfold stays on."
Raising his hands in mock surrender, Ohta replied, "Fine, but if I feel a cat's ass on my face, good luck trying to convince me to show up for future training sessions..."
Snorting through her nose, Yoruichi pointedly asserted, "I keep my word," despite fully intending to employ her cat form if Ohta hadn't said anything. She didn't especially mind sitting on his face, but she would have liked to get more information out of him before things progressed beyond simple skinship...
Making his way toward the bed, Ohta regained his smile, musing, "How commendable..." before taking a seat and promptly lying down once he reached it. He could hear Yoruichi exhale a faint sigh as he did so, but it wasn't long before he felt her feet on each side of his body, followed by an approaching warmth that quickly enveloped his face.
Putting all her weight on Ohta's face, Yoruichi, sitting arms-crossed and with an annoyed look on her face, asked, "Happy?"

Placing his hand on Tatsuki's head, Ohta transferred some of his psychic power to her, causing his form to abruptly materialize in front of her as he replied, "It's a long story, so I'd rather not say."
Startled by Ohta's sudden appearance, Tatsuki leaped back and assumed a defensive karate stance. Immediately afterward, however, she became angry, her expression becoming notably fierce as she asked, "You weren't watching me shower, were you?"
Raising his brows, Ohta mused, "No, but even if I had, would it matter? You used to pester and follow me around at the public bath until just a few years ago. You haven't exactly changed mu-"
Interrupting Ohta's words, Tatsuki hurled her towel into his face, her own bright red as she bellowed, "Get the hell out of here!"
Adding to Tatsuki's confusion and shock, Ohta reacted to her words by falling through the floor. In soul form, he could pass through solid objects so long as they didn't have electrical cables running through them, so he phased through the floor before popping up a few seconds later, earning himself a roundhouse kick as he said, "We need to talk," from behind the stupefied tomboy.
"How are you doing this?" asked Tatsuki, her confusion overpowering her other emotions as she lowered her foot.
Shrugging his shoulders, Ohta replied, "I became a Shinigami. I'd rather not go into detail, but I just thought you should know before the artificial soul who assumed my identity pisses you off. We may not be 'that' close, but I do consider you a friend."
Blinking in surprise, Tatsuki momentarily disregarded the rest of Ohta's words as she noted, "You've never called me that before...what's going on, Ohta? Did you get involved in something dangerous...?"
"Very," admitted Ohta, adopting a teasing smile as he added, "But, as I said before, I'd rather not get into it. Perhaps someday, but not anytime soon."
Realizing the true purpose of Ohta's vision, Tatsuki's eyes became moist as she meekly accused, "You're here to say goodbye..."
Exhaling a faint sigh through his nose, Ohta extended his hand to ruffle Tatsuki's damp hair as he answered, "More like, see you around..." in an uncharacteristically soft tone. Tatsuki was his 'first option,' assuming he decided to remain in Karakura Town, but they had never started dating since he wasn't into brats. Tomboys? Hell yeah. Literal children? Fuck no.
Having said what he came to say, Ohta retracted his hand from Tatsuki's head and turned to leave. He half-expected her to grab his sleeve or hug him from behind, but she remained where he left her, a hurt expression on her face as she lowered her head, closed her eyes, balled her hands into fists, and clenched her jaw...
"YOU ASSHOOOOOOOLE...!" screamed Tatsuki, albeit only after Ohta's figure had dissolved, his power no longer granting her the ability to see him...

"You're surprisingly sentimental," remarked Yoruichi, waiting for Ohta on the roof of the house neighboring Tatsuki's.
Shaking his head, Ohta's usually cocky smile exuded a hint of melancholy as he claimed, "You said it best this afternoon. I'm a monster, through and through. I spent fifteen years cultivating my relationship with Tatsuki and her mother, Fubuki. I won't let some asshat that looks like me benefit from that hard work..."
Rolling her eyes, Yoruichi muttered, "If you say so..." before transitioning into her cat form and climbing onto his shoulder, asking, "Where to now? The apartments? Or were you serious about hunting Hollows...?"
"The apartments seem like the best option," replied Ohta. "I'm planning to borrow Rukia's cell phone, and I need to secure my valuables before that asshat lays claim to them."
"Wow, you're harsh," mused Yoruichi. "Are you really not planning to leave 'anything' for him?"
"He gets a free apartment, all my clothes, my dashingly good looks, a big dick, several false identities, and a bag of cash. If he can't succeed with all that, then Urahara did a shitty job programming him," contended Ohta.
"Your dick isn't 'that' big," teased Yoruichi. "And now that you've become a Soul, you're stuck looking like this for decades, if not much, much longer."
"Luckily, I also know how to use it..." muttered Ohta, using his replicated Shunpo to begin transitioning from roof to roof. His comment earned him another eye roll from Yoruichi, but she didn't say anything as she believed he was putting on a brave front after severing ties with someone he cared about...

After moving most of his shit and accosting his former self for the keys to his other apartments, Ohta discreetly poked his head through the wall of Rukia's room, finding the petite Shinigami wearing vanilla-colored PJs with a cartoonish carrot pattern on them. Her eyes were practically glued to a steamy romance novel, so she didn't sense him until he asked, "What'cha reading?" with a cheeky smile.
"Gwaaaaaaaaa-!?" exclaimed Rukia, startling to such an extent that she fell out of her bed before quickly recovering and asking, "Ohta-kun? What are you-" before noticing he was wearing a Shihakusho(Garment of Dead Souls), the proper name for his Shinigami attire.
Blinking several times, Rukia tilted her head and asked, "You became a Shinigami? So quickly...?"
"I can be pretty proactive when I want to be," mused Ohta. Then, before Rukia could question him further, he added, "Anyways, I just came by to see if I could borrow your cell phone. I'll make sure to return before you leave for school in the morning."
"Oh, then just wait one moment," said Rukia, slipping the romance novel under her bed before rising to retrieve her cell phone. By the time she turned back around, Ohta was right behind her, causing her to tense as she raised her head to meet his gaze. There was a 31cm difference in their heights, so Rukia felt she had been backed into a corner despite having plenty of room to flee.
Removing the phone from the stunned Rukia's fingers, Ohta held it up for her to see as he said, "Much appreciated." before turning to leave. Doing so broke the spell Rukia was under, but before she could say anything to delay his departure, Ohta mused, "Enjoy your book~" in a sing-song tone before promptly departing through the front door.
Though she initially remained silent in response to Ohta's remark, staring in the direction of his departure, Rukia eventually made her way over to her bed, plopping down face-first and burying her face into her pillow to stifle a scream...

With Rukia's phone allowing him to track positions and determine when Hollows would appear, Ohta spent much of the evening gazing at stars while Yoruichi curled up in his lap, allowing him to caress her feline body. She originally sat off to the side by her lonesome, but when Ohta didn't even try to get her to come to him, she invaded his personal space of her own accord, much like an actual cat.
"Is it fun being a cat...?" asked Ohta, waiting until the sky on the horizon had started to illuminate.
"It's not bad," replied Yoruichi. "Why, wanna become one? It may actually be possible since you're linked with my Zanpakuto."
"Hard pass," replied Ohta. Then, instead of going with his plan of asking if she had ever let another cat do her, he remarked, "I was just curious. With how adept you are at behaving like one, you must have spent a lot of time transformed..."
"Oh? If you're 'really' curious, I could tell you more about my background. That's what this is leading up to, right?" asked Yoruichi.
"Nah, I'm not that interested," replied Ohta. "My policy is to get to know people as they are, not as they were. Besides, most people inflate their histories to such an extreme it might as well be fiction..."
Picking Yoruichi up from his lap, Ohta placed her on the ground and rose to his feet. She jumped to his shoulder as he did so, but he was already used to having her hitch a ride off of him, so he just Shunpo'd away in the direction of the apartments, reaching their destination only a few seconds later before knocking on Rukia's door.
Though it was currently 4:38 AM, it only took Rukia a few seconds to answer her door, this time wearing her school uniform. Her eyes darted to Yoruichi's feline form, but only briefly before she met Ohta's gaze, smiling as she asked, "How was it? I trust my phone was helpful...?"
"Immensely," replied Ohta, proffering forth said phone as he asked, "Mind if I use it again in the future?"
Nodding in affirmation, Rukia replied, "Whenever you need it. However, as you appear to have some...affiliation with my Supplier, you should be able to acquire one for yourself. Then we can exchange numbers."
Piggybacking off of Rukia's words, Yoruichi said, "Kisuke was supposed to give you one last night, but you were in such a rush to leave that he either forgot or simply decided not to."
Seemingly ignoring Yoruichi's comment, Ohta continued holding Rukia's gaze, asking, "Have you met my replacement yet?"
Blinking in surprise, Rukia parroted, "Your replacement...?" in confusion. She was aware that Ohta had become a Shinigami, that much was very clear, but she had no idea he had 'abandoned' his mortal coil. Fortunately for her, that was why Ohta had come by so early, allowing him to apprise her of the situation so that she wouldn't freak out when she encountered the douche canoe that had replaced him...

"Don't tell me you're planning to sleep...?" asked Yoruichi, watching Ohta strip out of his Shinigami attire.
Raising his brows, Ohta pointed out, "I just spent the past seven hours patrolling. Are you expecting me to transition into training immediately? At least let me take a bath first. Damn."
Furrowing her feline brows, Yoruichi flatly pointed out, "You only hunted a single Hollow, and it took no effort..."
"Okay? That doesn't change the fact I was out on patrol for seven hours," asserted Ohta. "By that logic, people that guard fortresses and shit aren't working unless someone is actively attacking."
Understanding she couldn't contend against Ohta's 'reasoning,' Yoruichi exhaled a sigh before remarking, "Whatever. The Sun's up, so I'm out of here. Sleep, take a bath, or throw yourself off a cliff. I don't give a damn. Just make sure to get over to Urahara's place before noon..."
Before Yoruichi could leap through the wall and depart, Ohta teased, "There's still a bit of time before the Sun's completely up. If you join me in the shower, I'll head over immediately after. Pinky promise."
Turning to look back at Ohta, Yoruichi narrowed her golden eyes, exuding an invisible killing intent that caused goosebumps to break out across his body. Despite this, Ohta maintained a smile as he jokingly appended, "I'm guessing that's a no...?"
Instead of responding to Ohta with words, Yoruichi turned around and leaped away, disappearing through his closed front door. It was a shame to see her go, but Ohta just shrugged his shoulders, stripped out of the remainder of his clothes, and entered the shower, allowing cool and then hot water to run over his naked body for nearly a full hour...
